Angry with my mini. Help.

Very long story very short post.

Had a leaky clutch master cyl. Replaced it. Im a nechanic (a real one not a garage enthusiast. I did it correctly.).. started leaking within 2 weeks. Called mini and they said they'd warranty it and fix it. They did... 2 weeks later its leaking again.

Has anyone found this to be an ongoing issue wirh the 1st gen hatch S (2003 ) ?

Is there a better replacement for this part?

2..... put new regulator and motor in drivers side week ago and it, no matter the amount of tension, will not crack when i open the door. Gave up on it. (I DID set the top and bottom as specified) Motor went out in pass side. Replaced pass side motor. Same crap different day. Followed all data to the T as well as various posts including the one on pelican. It says nothing about this issue. Put it all back together (pass side) and installed new speakers in the doors... went for test drive and the stupid airbag light is on now. AAAAHHHHHH!

#about to sell my car because im sick of thr little b.s. and then i remember BMW is notorious for crap like this.

#frustrated....

Usable advice?

Heck...mine lasted 10 years...was the original one when I sold it...
Greene performance... Has a modified metal one that fits if you are done...maybe all yours came from a bad batch,so same bunch working next to each other on the shelf... or the dot4 you have was a bad for with the seals...have heard of folks with ATE-branded dot4 having issues a few years ago...
I kinda wonder...1) are you poping the cluch hard? Or 2) maybe there is an issue with the fluid return line, making the psi so high the parts fail...just grasping for straws...two failed parts of the same type in such a short time is odd...so I like too look beyond the part...
But like I said Colin Greene sells one...think it is slightly modified from an s-10 blazer if I recall right....

When you say "regulator" what part do you mean?

There is a switch in the door latch mechanism that tells the car that the door is open. When I first bought my car, the latch was unplugged and the window would stay in the down position. Roll the window all the way up, and it would roll down a little every time.

Great info thanks to u both.

As for the clutch i haven't checked the pressure in the return line but its a thought. When i push the clutch to the floor it usually feels like the diaphragm is crunching up inside. I can't really explain that but both of the new ones felt that way and the first one i had didn't. I'll end up taking it back to mini next week i think. And may have them look at the window too. As for the window, by regulator i meant window regulator (rails and cable systems). The switches in the door when it latches activate. I can hold the handle down and press the door closed and the motors actuate but doesnt move it as far as it should, and when i have the doors open, i can press the window(s) down about a half inch then close the door and they roll up all the way. They move 1 to 3mm on their own. All of the adjustments and positions were the same as before i took them apart (where they worked before). If that makes any sense. The 1 to 3 mm is enough to serve its intended purpose but id prefer the proper functionality so as not to prematurely wear anything out.. you know..
