Maybe a dumb question?

My "en route" HB 05 has the HK included. What exactly am I getting with this system....CD?Tape player?

How is different from the stock stereo?

With the HK sound system you are basically getting a louder, crisp, digital sound system thats all. 320 watts that is. I have it on my 03 MCS and it sounds pretty loud. I think you will enjoy it.

For about $550 more than the stock audio system, you get-

-upgraded speakers (from the basic 6 to 8). In the HK,the front door has a two-way tweeter and 5.25" midrange and the rear has a dual voice coil 6x9.
In the stock audio system the front door has a basic tweeter and midrange and the rear speaker is a basic 6x9.
-CD player with Digital signal processing and amp for the HK. Only an AM/FM radio and CD player for the stock system with built in amp from the headunit.
-No tape player which is an additional option if ordered
-No CD changer unless ordered-extra for both HK and stock audio

Overall it is a good option for more audio and more bass performance for a stock look and less cost than an audiophile system. You get the advantage of a long 4 year warranty and the cost is rolled into your auto financing.
