The new mini

I Know this is the R53 tread but i wanted to ask what you guys think of the new 2015/2016 mini. I personally think they ruined it but what are your thoughts. And also thoughts on the new 4 doors like the contreyman ect.

The first gen is the only gen I can stand, maybe it's because I own one, but I just don't like how they're becoming bigger and bigger, as well as uglier. If I had to buy another Mini, I'd stick with a first gen and there's literally nothing that could make me change my mind.

Lots of threads on this subject in the 3rd Gen forums.

Not much point in starting one in this forum because most 1st Gen owners' opinions will be negative

Really? What part of it do you like?

I had a chance to buy a new one or anything inbetween about 2 months ago. I opted to sink $5K into my R53 and keep it instead. After test driving a few 2nd and third gens I can honestly say they just don't feel like a Mini anymore.

It seems that almost every car starts off small and then gets larger and larger as the years go on. A good comparison is the older 911 vs. the newer 991.2 911's. I like this comparison photo of the MINI's (and Mini) throughout the years.
