Is the strong rasping sound, almost like it's going to back fire when you rev at stand still normal with the S?

It is the ENGLISH heritage...

 

It does sound remarkably like the old minis the Brit ones I had the joy of growing up round them so I wondered if the boys at Beema had worked on the sound to make it like the old S's.
