Just got an email from ECStuning regarding my old vw. What I saw on the site for VWs looked like something I want for my MINI.

I checked the sizes and they are a little too big for our hatches. Live chatted with a guy over there and he said theres no ideas of doing other cars.

 

I can't remember the name of the thread, but I do know MarioKart has done something similar and I think it's just a strut swap.

I put that kit on my GTI. After a couple weeks, I took it off again. It is cool, but it takes two hands to close it once it's open. My kid couldn't even do it. If I'm getting something out of the hatch, one hand is full. I'd have to set it down to close the hatch.

 

Found the thread last night. Might do it soon, I don't use the hatch that much but it is cool to just open with the switch.
