Happy Anniversary to my MINI!

Well fellow NAM members....August 3rd marked the day of my 2 year anniversary with my Cooper. I'm pleased to say that to this day she runs just as well as she did when I first got her.

I have only had to go in for service one time....for condensation in my fog light. Other than that, my Coop has been trouble-free! (And I consider myself lucky...I had a pretty early build!)

I hope that all of you are having as much fun with your cars as I still am....even 2 years later, I still get compliments and questions from strangers all the time.

CHEERS!!

~L.Mini & DeeDee...happily motoring together since August 3, 2002.

Congrats L. MINI! Our first MINI, a '02 Cooper CVT will also be 2 years old this coming Sept 7th and she is still running like a champ after 25K miles!.

My '04 MCS will be 1 year old this coming October 3rd

As far as the gift suggestions, get her the Aux input jack (If not yet installed) and a nice new shiny Apple ipod!

You are brilliant!

I already have a silver mini iPod to match my little silver MINI. I was SO excited when I heard about the new adapter that came out. All my best music is on my iPod.

Thanks, guys! (And DeeDee thanks you, too. ) It's cool to know that I've been talking to some of you since the very beginning!!

Hey Laur
I'm approaching my 2nd anniversary this Sat. 29+K miles, and I'm still having a ball.
BTW, have you moved to NYC? Update, update!

I am not yet in NYC. I'm there a couple weekends a month, but I still live in the B-more area. I am moving in the spring. A friend of mine from down here is moving with me....and she needed to hang around Baltimore for a little longer, so I said I'd wait.

I'm in no real rush. I want to make sure I find a really good job first and not just settle because I'm trying to get up there faster. And things with the boyfriend are stronger than ever....we aren't having any real issues with the long distance and see each other often. So there is no need to be in a hurry.

Happy early b-day to the S! Dee is at 30,800 miles right now.

L.Mini- congrats to you and your mini. You are quite a veteran.

From the 2 years of ownership, what is the best thing you like
about your car and one thing you don't like?

As far as pampering your MINI for its annivarsary, how about giving her
a nice long bath and a facial and skin lift with claybar, wax massage,
polish massage, and a nice foot massage by waxing the wheels and
shining up the tires? Then taking her out to a nice diner and
fill up with the best 93 octane you can find.

She's getting a full detail next week when I get back from my trip.

Hmmmm let's see.....
I think the best part of the MINI is that it's the only car I've owned that inspires any kind of emotion in me. I have had her for two years, but will still turn around and check her out from afar while walking into work thinking "yeah...that's MY car". I'm just really proud of my car!

The worst...well...I guess the thing with the condensation in my fog light. It was just an inconvenience though and the service people at my dealership were REALLY helpful and friendly. So I can't really complain. I honestly can't think of anything that I dislike about my car. I got the MINI that was perfect for me and she's still perfect for me 2 years later.

Myself and Cricket will be at the 2 year mark on September 17th. Woooo! What a blast it's been.

Hey! Congrats, Lauren! I took delivery of my first MINI 8/28, so I've been motoring almost two years, as well! Good to know DeeDee is still the apple of your eye. I still look back over my shoulder at Wanda every time I walk away from her! Have a happy anniversary and I second the Aux/Ipod suggestion, as well as DeeDee's personal spa day, LOL! Motor on!

Congrats L.Mini ..... Greta and I celebrated our 2 yr aniv on 8.2 and like your mini has been for the most part trouble free. I gave Greta (and myself) an early present this spring, first JCW wheels then 1 week later the JCW tuning kit. We have taken our pleasure to a new level. But enough about us.... Enjoy and happy motoring for many years to come.

Word up.

My MCS turned one year old this week and will complete its first year of faithful duty on the 26th of this month. Luckily it will be rewarded with a trip to Emerald Isle, NC in two weeks to soak up the sun.

Happy B-lated anniversary to DeeDee and Laur,

Great photos, Nice to see that DeeDee doesn't look a day over, erm, new!

Blubelle and I will have our two year anniversary in a couple of months. I know how you feel, 'cause I feel it too!

Maybe I'll get an I-pod and the jack, or maybe a short shift kit and slotted rotors. Hmmm, decisions, decisions.
