Thanks!
Mini leather is more a thick vinyl than real leather and it is not ventilated. Some owners told me that it is very sticky in warm weather and completely to avoid for desert driving. Fortunately, I have fabric seats and they are cool but I also have dark tinted windows all around.

When you travel on long distance. install a thick sweatshirt over your seat back and you will see a big difference.

You may refer to the piping bead in contrasting color on your leather seats. It is a vestige of the classic era.

The JCW fabric sports seats have checkered pattern fabric with a double red stitch line on the bolsters edges as the shift booth and steering wheel. They have no beads.

I really like them and they are very comfortable.

How about Coverking custom seat covers?

The Coverking spacer mesh may work.

I believe Costco has them for $100 at Costco Online.

No personal experience yet, but that's what we're getting for my Roadster.

My 2011 Clubman (non s) came with vinyl seats and I found someone on this site who had converted his Roadster to all leather. So I bought his seats covers which have leather boosters and leather center piece but cloth for the part of the seats that you set on. They are great. So look for someone who is selling their seat covers and then have an upholstery shop replace them. You might be able to get an upholster to put cloth inserts. I know some one on this site, who just converted his Clubman S cloth seats to leather. His cloth seats have the red stitching and he is wanting to sell either the front or all the seats. Just an idea.

Get these. http://www.overland.com/products/dc-...ons-99988.aspx

Seriously. It seems counter intuitive. Adding something that keeps you warm. But these covers breath so amazingly well. I have a friend who put these in his F150 because he drives quite a bit. And he swears he will never own another truck or car without putting these in. He is a heavy sweater and has told me once the A/C catches up there is no sweating from his back.

They're expensive, but well worth the price.

Sheep skins

I had then on an old BMW and they work great and keep you cool. There are some that just fit the seating surface and are a lot cheaper. One story. Never leave your window down and let it get wet they really hold a lot of water

Cloth JCW Seats

Maybe you need these. May still be for sale by a Mini driver who replaced his cloth seat covers with leather

I had a 2014 JCW Clubman A/T loaner for a week until last Thursday. It was a loaded $40K with leather seats among other options. They were very uncomfortable and sticky just after a few miles. My shirt was all wet.

Furthermore, they look more like vinyl but the sticker was in the glove box .... so real leather or not? I don't believe so.

Those JCW seats wreak havoc on my lower back as in no lumbar support. I have a long torso so since 2011, I can feel my lower back getting jacked up, so I decided to go on Amazon to buy one. It's fabric-y, so I haven't yet had a situation to where my back get sweaty. Hopefully this lumbar support takes care of both.
