Best interior color for MCS EB/W

Going to order a 2005 MCS EB...What interior looks the best in an Electric blue...? Any ideas/comments...I like the alloy patina but I'm not sure about the seats...

Anthracite fan

Random opinion here.....every time I've seen an anthracite interior I thought it was stunning. (...and I don't have it!) Not sure about how it'd look with EB, but it IS gorgeous!!

whichever fits your personality best

Silver - bright and cheery, happy
Alloy Patina - Industrial, intense, and random
Anthracite - dark, hidden, evil
body color - depends! Electric Blue/white MCS's I always call "Fluffly cloud MINI"...you get the idea

anthracite and space cloth or leatherette

The leather is not durable enough to recommend at this time.

body colored dash is 2nd choice.

Silver Alloy and black leather. Hey BMW is a German car company, so go with the Deutschland standard colors.

An MC/S without red seats is like a day without sunshine.

leatherette?

any reasons for recommending leatherette instead of leather... aside from the obvious $$$... earlier someone mentioned that the leather is not "durable"? what gives?

I have a Jan '03 build EB/W with lapis interior. The leather is holding up just fine. I treat it about 4 times a year with a leather cleaner/replenisher and it looks and feels just as good as it did the day I brought the car home. Nothing wrong with leather seats here!

BTW, interior color, like most things on a MINI, is a matter of personal preference; don't let others make that decision for you.

Im a huge fan of the anthracite and black leatherette...that's what I currently have. But I would be willing to try the EB interior.

Some with leather have had problems, claiming it is too thin to hold up. As SCoop proves, not all have had this problem.

Godspeed.

Look at the cloth/leather combos' too. I'd suggest getting some "butt time" on a test-drive, or at least sitting in on for a while. I found the leatherette to be sticky in the hot, felt weird. That said, it does look good and FEELS nice to the hand (just not the back/****).

The space cloth is worth a look too. I have EB with lapis leather, it's holding up ok- but already has some wrinkling. Got in January 2004, have 3,100MI on it now... I treat it monthly with Lexol conditioner, w/cleaner quarterly. I clean the steering wheel/gear shift/handbrake monthly... Try to keep it decently clean (throw 2 towels over the seat when I go running or biking to keep the sweat off the leather). I'm not too fat or anything, 6'1", 175lbs... Plus I do mostly highway driving, so my "in and out" number of times isn't terrably high... The car sits in a garage or car-port, so it's out of the sun and heat... Never had leather do this, even on my old 1989 Pontiac Bonneville with 100,000MI...

If you order grey leatherette, your doors and the side plastic panels in the back seat are grey as well. And yes, you can order EB dash in the 05 MCS. Just FYI

Are you positive? Ask MINI and Classic MINI both say no. The official 05 brochure does not show it either.
