Guys, cut and paste the URL into your browser window and it will work. For those who cannot do that, it says "100% Free of Lucas parts" which is just as lame if not more lame than the "100% free of BMW parts" IMHO
Actually I believe it is quite tongue in cheek for Rick.
Correct me if I am wrong Rick, but I believe I have seen a picture on another board of both of your cars and the classic Mini has the "BMW Free" and the MINI has the "Lucas Free". They were sitting side by side maybe?

Yeah, the license plate on my 1968 Cooper S is "B4 BMW" and the license plate on the 2004 Cooper S says "EX BMC" Both are painted exactly the same - Red with a white top, black interior, and bonnet stripes. I love both Minis but they are JUST CARS!
I have a few Bi-Minual stickers left from WME if you want one. COOPERation helped me with them so they look really good.
They say "I'm Bi-Minual I like "em both".
PM me with address if you would like one.

I remember seeing Casper & your classic in Rockford. Loved those bi-minual stickers. Wish we could have met. I didn't like the Minis that had the evil kid peeing on our MINIs
Lois
That's why I wanted to do the sticker.....to show our enjoyment of both.
Missed meeting you too. Went to Chicago one of the meet days as I had never been there and visited the Volo Auto Museum another. Volo has the Scooby Do Mystery Machine from the movie and we are restoring a classic van as the Scooby Do Mini Mystery Machine. (Sorry for the hijack Rick)

As much as I would love to have one of these stickers in the back of my BMW MINIs I still think they are an invitation for "Old Farts" to engage in pissing contests. The original Mini was made virtually unchanged from 1959-2000 and some of the most recalcitrant classic Mini owners still resent the fact that the car is no longer made
41 years is an aweful amount of time now days in the auto industry and while I like and appreciate everything the classic Mini stands for, it was time for a change, period.
Some of these idiots can't get it thru their thick heads that thanks to BMW, the MINI/Mini today enjoy the popularity and the following in this country (and elsewhere) like never before in history. Many classic owners began as new BMW MINI owners and viceversa. The existance of the new MINI has brought up unprecedent awareness of the old Mini, a car that until 2 years ago was an obscure British auto owned by a handful of people with virtually zero popularity or general knowledge in the US.
If it hadn't been for BMW, the Mini as a brand and car would have been dead today. I doubt that Rover by themselves would have done a good job to update the car like BMW did.
The new BMW MINI is as much "Mini" as the old car, contrary to what these whackos may claim.
