Last I heard, Desert MINI in Las Vegas was charging $1500 above MSRP for hardtops, $5,000 above for the MC40 (and moving 3 in a week at that price) and either $5,000 or $6,000 above for the convertables,

Ouch!

No mark up from Julie in Ohio! Here in sunny San Diego the markup is at least 15% plus you have to buy the dealer protection packages....so about $5609 above MSRP for a MCS

Mine's coming from O H I OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

MSRP at Moritz Mini

I ordered a 2005 MCS Cabrio at Moritz Mini for MSRP with no wait list. I live in California and was faced with $5000-6000 markups or 12+ month waits. Now we just need that production line to start rollin' .

markups?

I think you have ask the wrong question. I contacted nine dealers in the eastern US 2 weeks ago. When ask what they were charging for the MC's, every one repLIED "MSRP". When further questioned about charges in addition to the normal tax, title etc., every one came up with a 'dealer services, documentation fee, personalization allowance, .....etc. These charges ranged from $125 to $1500. Listen to me now...you are paying MSRP + these other charges. When someone says "I paid MSRP" I'm willing to bet they paid MSRP +$

I guess you're right. I'm paying $250 for dealer prep. But that still leaves $1250 to pay for my leather seats:smile:

Motor City MINI was exactly MSRP. I paid the exact price that was on the website plus 6% tax. Classic MINI charges a $100 "administrative fee."

I paid MSRP in Indianapolis. We were even offered a deal on the MCS they were using as a demo, but I wanted to order my own.
