Ok say I have had my Dp off atleast once and it has had anti seize used on threads. Not that I have ever done this but how long to swap a DP as in I want to think about a stage 2 Manic but we have emission testing need to swap back in once a year.

How many man hours ? Does the front bumper cover have to come off ? I know that took me all day when I did my FMIC.

 

It depends.

If you have the car on a lift then in theory you don't have to go to service mode and remove the bumper cover etc. Loosen the bolts on top and from underneath and drop it down.

Small hands and proper socket tools etc to get to the fasteners and you might make it.

I didn't have either, so I went into service mode.

 

I used a lift/hoist and it took me around 3 hours the first time. Second time, I got it done in around 1.5hours.

 

Probably a hr for me now. The hardest part were the bolts to the downpipe heatshield. But after I've taken it off, I don't put all the bolts back onto it, so the next time it's just a matter of taking 2 bolts out, and undoing the downpipe. Swap and done.

 

I left the heat shields off and can probably change mine in less than hour

 

Ditto. The more you do it the faster it gets. By the third time you should have it down to 1 to 1.5 hours. Really not that bad of a job if you only have to do it once a year.

 

Well Jersey is every two years for inspection so I guess it depends where you at I'm glad I can do my own inspections at work I can just skip that visual inspection part haha
