How to reset cabin/engine filter change counter?

I have Cooper S 2009.

I want to replace a cabin and engine filters by myself. How do I reset the counters after I replace them?

ECSTuning, in dealership they can read the info from the car key where it says when I need to replace the filters. So, I believe after they replace the filter they reset it, but how?

Just the oil filter service , then a service reset, brake fluid reset, pads reset. Dont remember a cabin filter reset. On the Key fob MINI can see what has been reset and what was changed in the past under warranty and service, then see the parts list.

BMW and Mini use a system called CBS where individual items come up for servicing. The key may store the information or the information is transmitted to BMW/MINI. When the key is read by the key reader at the dealer it ties it in with the VIN and the information is displayed for the service writer. Items that are "close" to servicing show up as "recommended," so the customer does not have to make repeat trips to the dealer as items become "due". BMW does have a cabin filter reset via the i-drive screen or instrument cluster. MINI may have also. You would have to scroll through your choices once in the reset menu. I can't remember for sure if MINI has a line item for cabin filters though. Basically they took the traditional oil service and inspection services and exploded them into seperate services. The key does not "reset", it just reads the info and reports to the key reader. Once you access the reset menu you will see your choices. Here's a good video to use for the reset:
