Not since my Trans Am have tried so many tires. I have 13K on the car, the run flats were yanked in 1K miles, could not stand the ride and lack of traction, especially when wet. So went to DW's , much better ride and traction but seemed to be wearing fast and I upgraded wheels to 17x7.5 and switched to Khumo Ecsta AST's because I had them on my Trans Am and was happy with them, but now with 6K on them they are shredding, leaving rubber everywhere, still pretty gripping but the fronts ( I rotated at 4K ) are starting to cup/feather and I have seem this before when a tire is about wear real fast.

SO after careful research I am going to get some Michelin Pilot Sport AS3's.

Reason being Michelins have never done me wrong, I run them on my sport bike as well. I had them on pretty sport PU truck years ago. But the price kept me away.

But it's 500 AA tire with 45K wear warranty, and if I can get even 20K I'll be happy. I never had a semi sport FWD car before and hopefully these tires will be the answer.

I got DT to match TR and getting for $115 each .

Yikes! What a headache. I've heard great things about those tires. Definitely let us know how they do. I run Dunlop Direzza ZII's right now and absolutely love them. At the bottom here. Treadwear is wayyyy more aggressive though at 200. I've gotten about 2 years out of them so far. Still have some good life, but they are noisy. Can hear them pretty good with the windows down. I like it because I know they're doing their job. Either way, hope you get more life at of the new set!
