We are organizing a Driving Academy / Track Day at Pueblo Motorsports Park with Phil Wicks Ultimate Driving Academy. We are looking at October 9th & 10th or October 16th & 17th. This event will be for all drivers at all skill levels from novice to expert. A fun and exciting day for all. We need a minimum of 50 people to have Phil Wicks come and instruct for us, with a maximum 100 people for his academy, more are welcome to join in the track day event as well. The approximate price for the event will be $300.00 with a 20% discount to club members. This event is open to new and classic mini's. As soon as we have 50 people we can make this event happen.

 

Richard, fyi but the Thunder on the Cimarron is sched for Oct 8, 9, 10 down at Hallet Motor Raceway west of Tulsa. There may be some of our classic folks who want to go, plus others. I personally would stay for driving school...in Colorado.

Oct 24 is the annual MINI5280 Yalla Yalla and
Oct 31 is the annual MOTR Halloween ride

It would be nice to have something big early Oct before the snow flies...

MINI track day at Pueblo Motorsrports Park Oct 18
Sign up for the Phil Wicks Ultimate MINI Driving Academy and spend a day on the track at Pueblo Motorsports Park on October 18. This will be a great opportunity to meet and learn from Phil Wicks, one of the stunt drivers for the original Italian Job movie with years of experience racing and teaching performance driving. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your MINI in a safe and controlled environment.

Classroom sessions are combined with extensive track time with a morning briefing, track sessions, and debrief after each track session. Attendees will be grouped by skill level with plenty of instructors for guidance.

You'll become a better driver, and above all - you WILL have a blast!!

We have a pretty good response to this event so far. We need all that are interested to register at www.minidriving.com . Details as to what the event encompasses is here as well. Ralph Schomp is also having a BBQ before the event, for those who register, on Saturday Oct. 16th. This will be fun and exciting, hope to see the MINI community turn out for this event.:smile:

I am taking the Nashville class this sunday, just received the info packet saturday.

From what I am hearing, looks like turnout for the TN class was less than expected....

For those of you interested, there will be a four hour enduro at Second Creek, which will be the last SCCA event before they close the track, on the same weekend - October 16, 17. I'll be running the Mule with another driver (Bob Boileau). Feel free to come out and watch, or if yor car is SCCA legal, participate in a driver school good toward attaining your SCCA competition license. Feel free to contact me with details on SCCA competition if you are interested.

Yup. The Enduro is a bit different though, as it is pretty much an open event.

Wish I could make Pueblo on the 18th, but that is my birthday weekend, and I will be up in Steamboat Springs for a little R&R on that Monday. You guys have a good time, make sure to take pictures.
