Had some recent work and a new radiator replacement.

I guess if there's no check engine codes I'm OK, right?

Thanks!
Depending of climate and where you live, it make sense the cooling fan is not always on if your engine has no cooling issue.

At above 100, mine is always on for about 2 minutes when shot down. Below 90 it doesn't even start.

Right now, we are in the three digits and I don't have engine lights issues but idle surge problems more than ever.

I was at 93 degree high temp yesterday, and after shutting engine off it ran for about 30 seconds which is pretty common.

Well, yesterday was 108 here. Tomorrow will be 111 or even more. For those living in moderate climate, cooling is not a big concern. Here during summer, it is and the JCW engine doesn't like when it is hot.

The fan and aux water pump are activated by oil temperature. If the oil temp is above 105ºC they kick on after shutdown. How long they stay on depends on the temp.
