Fitting DDM sam air to K&N CAI

Ok, now that I have a FMIC I have been watching IAT alot. I find that the FMIC will soak up heat after driving and sitting or getting stuck in traffic.

The up sides still out weigh the downs as this FMIC will hold IAT down far better than stock, just liked how the stock would cool down faster.

Part of my thinking is the K&N is just pulling in HOT air at idle and if I had a intake pulling from the scoop it would possibly keep temps lower and resist some of the heat soaking. For grins I taped the open top of my K&N and it did seem to reduce IAT when stuck in traffic.

Now I am wondering if the DDM would mate up to the K&N ? I would put some rubber around the top of the K&N .

I may just suck it up and buy the DDM system but if the RAI could be used with the K&N that would be great.

I don't care for the AEM plastic design, and putting their melting plate on top of my motor is not something I want to do.

just go back to the stock intake if you dont have a lot done to your car, i have the same intercooler as you but with stock box and drop in filter and i dont have heat soaking issues

if you want a real good aftermarket intake go with the ecs intake box or the JCW N14 intake box with a KN cone filter
