The Butt Stops Here :)

Hi,

In an effort to correct a bit of prior owner caused damage on my new to me R56 2008 mcs, I just ordered a new driver seat cushion.

Part was figured out for me by ECS in the 1st gear forum and I went with it.

So when it comes:

1. Should be the exact same part....if I disconnect the batter, and change the cushion, do I need to do any ECU programming?????

2. Is it hard to do/are there any words of wisdom in the process...should I just go to a pro/dealer...?

TIA.

Love the little beast.

Jeff

Should be a plug and play... no ECU programming.

Motor on!

After disconnecting the battery, let it sit for 15 min before disconnecting anything else. You might be able to get away with it without waiting the 15 min, but why chance the headache.

exactly make sure that thing has set a good 15 mins with the battery disconnected before you touch anything else. This will keep you from getting the airbag warning light

Thanks everyone!

Anyone ever take the pad off...is there a HOWTO on this out there (have not looked at youtube yet...will, but figured the collective experts on this are probably mostly right here...

Again, thank you (in advance too).
