Questions over DSC/DTC, E-Diff, ABS

Hello there,

I have a 2010 JCW. I havent had the car too long now but I have questions pertaining to using the car as intended, as the bad little hot hatch that it is. Im a national level autocrosser and I moved to this car this spring, its totally prepped for STX. I'm turning off DSC and DTC every time by holding the button down for 5 seconds.

Here is the real question: Why is something intervening occasionally? It feels like traction control. I was powering out of a corner, carrying into the next and lightly lifted to rotate and stood back on the power. The car turned in nicely and I started to roll back on the throttle and lost a little bit of traction from the suspension load up and counter steered and throttled out but then BAM! Something kicked in and pulled all available power for a moment and sent me into a spin. Ive buried both feet and safely stopped the car. What caused that if everything was turned off? I never had that issue in my SMF R53.

Ive tried to duplicate the scenario in a safer way and its happening consistently. I also hve noticed that it will happen going up steep grades amidst acceleration and sudden traction loss and then BAM! It does it again. Its very frustrating and I have both turned off to the extent of my knowledge. Also could I pull the fuses for DSC/DTC, Dynamic Braking, etc?

Also does anyone have specs, info, knowledge of the factory electronic differential? Any would be great.

Discuss
Thanks,
Rob

ELSD applies brakes to one front wheel if it is spinning faster than the other one. It does not cut power. DSC turns itself back on and cuts power. I haven't yet seen any results either way from pulling fuses.

Damn. Well has anyone shown that the DCS wont intervene after getting an aftermarket mechanical differential?
