Serpentin belt slipping off supercharger pulley?
is this off by a tooth on this cravenspeed pulley?So long story short i took my car in to get the pulley retightened because the belt was slipping off. I did not get a new belt yet something i may do this weekend. I took a look into the bay and see that it may have slipped a tooth again. Is it because i have not replaced it with a new belt yet ? Or does this look correct to everyone who has a cravenspeed pulley?
Tried to realign the belt back to cover the rib and slipped off the rib again. I've about given up. Put too much money into this pulley swap taking it out and reinstalling it again to find that it did not stay on to cover the entire pulley. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
What size belt?
An almost new OEM belt is OK for a bit...but will stretch fast, squerl, and slip...
A new belt, about $22-25 at ANY parts store is really needed....most use a 535 length (us sizing syatem) with a 15% or a 532 with a 17% if you have the stock crank damper...the stock 1388 mm belt is too long with a pulley...even the JCW length belt is still a bit loose....
Do make sure the belt is aligned...a new pulley can be misinstalled, resulting in an angle....will throw belts or shred them...
Also make sure the damper is good, and the routing is right....

Right now i am using the JCW belt. I actually put that belt on 2 days ago before bringing it into the shop to get the pulley reinstalled because of the problem, they did not out a new belt in after reinstallation. There is a small niq on the shaft from the pulley being grinded off. Crossing my fingers that its just the old belt i was using while it was misaligned before it was reinstalled.
