Good morning All...so I got my car back from the dealer yesterday with a new HPFP installed under warranty on my 08 Cooper S...woohoo...happy camper...asked them to check why my NAV system keep saying DVD read error, so they checked it for me and was told I need a new player installed, it would take them 3.5 hours (you do math on the cost of labor) I did order one (it's one part of the DVD player that has the lens...I guess it goes bad) going to try to install it myself...any one had to replace the player on their NAV system?...oh my Antenna Base is broken too...this is why satellite and AM radio reception don't come in...so I ordered that too...Gonna have fun this weekend trying to install these items assuming the player comes in by Friday...I am open for suggestions, advices, ideas, anything to help this project goes smooth.

 

New Antenna Base is installed, now I can get Sirius radio reception. Was not as hard as I expected, took me about an hour ( 2 people and yes you do need smaller hands) now waiting for dealer to call me when player arrives and I can install it on Saturday or Sunday.
