Muffler upgrade?

Has anyone replaced just the muffler and resonator and achieved the sound they were looking for. I plan on buying a cat back later down the road but want to slap a muffler in for the time being. Anyone done this and had good results?

the piping is weird in the stock configuration. finding a muffler that enters and exits on the same side aftermarket wise would be on the harder side to find and not potentially worth it. I would either say cut one of them out as the one ball mod or just get the catback

I looked up a bunch of one ball mods on YouTube and that's exactly what I am trying to achieve for the time being. Thank you for the help.

be warned most people find it uneventful when looking for more noise and end up getting the cat back =)

That's perfect. I do plan on getting a cat back system in the future I just wanted a temporary solution.
