need a reliable mechanic or shop that's affordable.

Hi guys I have some basic maintenance that's needs to be done on mini cooper and I need a good shop or person that can get the job done in the SoCal area 90606. Car is a mini cooper 2006, and needs: I have all the parts
Brakes
Spark plugs
Fuel filter
Cabin and air filter
Automatic transmission filter and fluid

I tried posting in the regional area and nothing, so I figured I would try here... thanks for the help.

90606 is Whittier, CA? I recommend Motoring Magic in Thousand Oaks, CA. They'll do jobs when you provide parts, which some places won't do. Prices are reasonable. Quality is very good. They specialize in Minis and Scott the owner treats you like a fellow enthusiast. They changed the spark plugs (and did a compression check), and changed the automatic transmission fluid, filter, and gasket on my 2009 Clubman S among other things. The transmission service cost more than I expected even with Redline fluid instead of OEM, but apparently they have to lower the subframe to replace the filter. You can just get the fluid changed for less. Anyway, good guys; Scott, Steve, and Chuck. They've also installed sway bars, struts, thermostat housing, tie rod, intake valve cleaning, oil and filter. Never had a single problem with their service. I've heard of a couple other LA-area places that are good but don't remember the names. Mini Worx is one I think.

ya, call Scott at Motoring Magic. (805)496-2300 A little bit of a drive for you, but all work will be done correctly, and won't do work you don't need.
