R50 Catback Fitting

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a catback for my 2005 r50. I'm wondering if it is just a bolt on install or if any modifications need to be made. Also, I was wanting the Megan Racing exhaust but it seems to be out of stock on every site I call. Borla and magnaflow seem to be the only big name ones in stock. Leaning towards the Borla. I just need to make sure that when installing, I won't run into having to fork out more money for something that doesn't come with the kit. Thanks in advance

The Borla and Magnaflow aren't bad options, just cost more than the Megan. Bad news on the Megan is there are none in the USA. The factory is way behind and hasn't shipped any to the US. And Megan keeps giving out unrealistic eta dates on them.
Out of the Borla and Magnaflow I kinda like the Borla sound a little better.

So are they just plug and play type deals? Are there any modifications you have to make? Just bolts at the cat and no welding?

What is the reason to get a Catback exhaust for your R50?

More noise? Less weight?

Don't expect much power.

I'd spend money on better tires before an exhaust.

My oem exhaust is rusting out. I'd like a little more rumble as well. Already have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's on it.

All the Megan, Borla, and Magnaflow exhaust for the R50 are direct bolt on. No cutting or welding needed for any of those.

While you're at it pick up an intake. It will make your car sound much more aggressive. I have the JCW sound kit on my R50 with an aFe intake. It sounds killer! Not loud and obnoxious, just throaty.
