Anyhow, like the title states, I'm selling brand new Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers for R50, R52 and R53 MINI's. These are a top quality piece, and feature 9-way damping adjustability (that you can actually feel...), and ride height adjustment ranging from 1.18" - 2". These are suitable for both track and street use.
The asking price is $1,300 Firm. You will not find these anywhere else for under $1,900 new.
Coilovers come packed in factory Bilstein box, and include spanner wrenches for adjustment and all factory manuals & warranty info. Price does not include shipping. Package will be 30"x11"x9" & 50lbs. I will ship via UPS Ground with adult signature required.
Here's what WMW has to say about these:
"Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers for 2002-2006 R50, R53 MINI Cooper and Cooper S, and 2005-2008 R52 MINI Convertible. These are some of the best coilovers available for your MINI.
The MINI Cooper Bilstein B16 PSS9/10 kit is a race inspired system, providing the ultimate in high performance tuning. The manually adjustable monotube gas shock absorbers feature 9 or 10-stage precise compressing and rebound settings, from comfort to competition. The threaded body allows accurate adjustability of the front and rear progressive springs to achieve the vehicle ride height (30mm to 50mm), center of gravity and level of performance handling desired. Bilstein's patented Triple-C-Technology coating ensures long-lasting resistance to corrosion.
The adjustment for the rebound on these bilstein coilovers is at the bottom of the shocks front and rear. This makes them the easiest on the market to adjust in the rear as you don't have to remove them to adjust.
Sold as a complete set of 4, 2 front and 2 rear."
Thanks for looking.

Having said that, if you run them on the soft side of the damping range (say, 6-9) they're plenty comfy for the street. I don't think she'd be any the wiser so long as you kept them dialed in for street use. Compared to OEM, it's hard for me to say. I will however say with the utmost confidence that a brand new set of these coilovers will ride better than an old and tired OEM suspension.
The damping adjustment dials are on the bottom of the coilover; meaning, for those of us who run closed top camber plates (RDR, Hotchkis, etc) you can just reach under the car and change the setting. If you're interested shoot me a PM and we can talk. Thanks.
Edit: Some light reading.
