I want to get some of those stickers people get with the chronological number of the car itself.

You posted images of ford focuses and want to add build numbers to a non-limited car.

The GP and the MC40 are the only editions of the mini that deserve those badges and got them from the factory. What if your build number was 4,324,543 are you going to put that on.

700 views no response likely because I don't think there is a way to figure it out for a base model...

The S doesnt count as a limited run? On top of that I know electric blue is a limited color. If I could find out it was number 4,324,543 then fine.

The S is in no way, shape or form a limited run. I don't know the split but I think they sold more "S" model coopers than they did non-S R50s. In 2002-2006 if you had the cash you could walk into a mini dealer and order any mini you wanted in any configuration and wait a few months for delivery. While the Electric Blue may be un-common I do not believe there was any factory restriction put on the color -- it likely was not ordered as much because its Unique and would only appeal to a certain sub-segment.

The mix (red cars, black cars, green cars, white cars, blue etc..) that MINI decided to put out as initial inventory was likely based upon hours upon hours of statistical analysis and customer testing. I bet that electric blue is just not nearly as appealing - despite yours and other personal feelings on it.

http://libraryofmotoring.info/facts/...-usa-by-month/ that link is only for the United States -- the MINI is popular all over the world.

Ha, that's a pretty cool sales list, never thought to look that up. Anyways, yeah there's no point in putting those numbers... Just put your favorite number! Or if you modded it a lot, your whp (saw that and thought it was pretty cool). Or the date you bought it, etc. I'm gonna put my manufactured date in between my fender stripes 😜. Cooler ideas besides a six figure number, even if you could find out you were 100,339 of 150,000 made. Not to bash your idea/car lol.

The BMW VIN Decoder provides you with the production date of your MINI but I know of no source for the build number.

Electric Blue was available through August 2005, first exclusive to Cooper S models but later available on other models. The color has returned for the 3rd Gen MINI.

Specs for VIN ending TD54352 ...

If you were the some of the first ones to buy a Mini from the dealership, you got a T-shirt with an odometer with the number of car you got.

We got my R50 '02 on March 22nd, 2002, the first one sold through a US dealership. We got the 000003 T-Shirt (manager of the dealership took 1 and 2), and the VP of MINI presented the car to us. Drove it off from the show room that day.

My VIN ends in TC30466, but can't get anything other than the specs and the Manufacturing date of 01/2002.

It would be cool to get the build number.

My 2014 Mini Cooper S JCW 2.0 was the first production model with an actual BMW engine the B48. Everything else before that year and model had Peugeot engines. So your idea of Mini S being an unlimited production is false especially when not considering the model number and differences between each to begin with. They've manufactured diesel panel van Minis in a limited production. The production number makes a difference under the model number for modern racing editions starting from 2014 S JCW anyway.

Nonsense.

Limited production means building up to a set maximum number of units and then stopping production (like MINI built 2,000 GP1 and no more). MINI always built as many S as orders received, with no limit. That is the definition of unlimited production.

Is your car a JCW edition ?
You can use that serial number.

I have never run across another 2004 MINI Cooper with the exact same options as mine... so, it's a one off right?
