R50/53 single "click" noise upon take-off
single "click" noise upon take-off
I have a single "click" or "chirp" or "pop" noise coming from the driver side front wheel that happens upon take-off. I had it in to MINI last month and they replaced a wheel bearing, but this morning it reappeared.
It had started last winter & progressively got worse, and clicked a couple of times upon take-off, and when I was slowing down and downshifting from 2nd to 1st. Never more than 2-3 clicks in a row, and not everytime.
Now it's back.
It kinda sounds like snapping your fingers with a metallic tone to it, like if you pressed a hard thin point of metal on another piece of metal and it skipped once or twice.
Any ideas?
