R50/53 2006 R53 gear shift knob question

2006 R53 gear shift **** question

Anyone know how the gear shift **** is attached and what size is the thread?

M12x1.25 if you have a short shift kit installed.

If stock, the **** is pull up, push down to install like older BMW. Put gear shifter into 3rd, get into the back seat and pull really hard
w/o hitting self/sunroof with the ****/your own fist. Seen both happen.

The stock ***** are Not threaded on. They are a snap on fit. So you have to find an aftermarket **** that is the factory lock on style, unless you change to a short shifter that is threaded.
