Window Dip

I know this problem is out there on this site but the "search" box is not very user friendly when looking for a specific post. I am having a problem the passenger side window not dipping when opening on my 2009 Cooper Hardtop. I did find a thread that said to open the window all the way down and hold it down for about 5 sec and back up and hold for 5 sec but that still did not work. I will continue to search this forum for other possible solution but if anyone can give me more specific directions that would be great. I hate to drive to the stealership to have this repaired if it is just a matter of re-setting something.

Try the reset procedure a little longer. Some have had module issuse on resets

If its one window, might be the motor itself after that.

Well I've tried everything that I could find here and nothing seems to work. It does move a fraction ( like it wants to go down to its position) but it does not drop to the usual height. Any other suggestions another than the ones that are listed here?

I had an issue with the soft close not working before. Drivers side and the door wasn't being recognized as being open so the door didn't dip, the lights didn't turn on when the door was opened and the car didn't realize the door was open at all (even with the car moving).

I took it to the dealership and they updated the software in the car and it was fine. I tried resetting the windows before doing it and it didn't work. However on my old cooper S (2008) I had the issue and resetting the windows worked.

I got this from the Service manual by Bentley Publishing:
1. Close windows and doors
2. Switch Ignition on
3.Move window approx halfway down
4.Disconnect power to window:
a) Detach Window motor electrical connector; or
b) remove window fuse ( WHERE is this fuse?)
5. Actuate power window switch several times to clear previous initialization.
6.Reconnect window motor power and test to make sure one-touch is inoperative
7. With window motor powered, open window fully
8. After reaching lower position, move window without interruption to to upper position and hold for at least 2 seconds in CLOSE position. This completes initialization.

Has anyone tried this? If so, Where is the fuse for the windows?
