Exclamation Sewell Mini Parts Website Gone March 1st

Went to thier site to look something up and it said thier .com business was ceasing operation March 1st. Please vist thier parts department in person.

I'm sure other dealers not happy with the site. Now many will have to make long drives for what was a simple internet purchase.

Do you think they will be forced to also degrade their five star service and sales operations because they also make the other dealers look so bad at that too.

Are you implying that they stopped online sales because of other dealers complaining? Maybe it just wasn't profitable.

There are plenty of other MINI dealers who do online sales (penskeparts.com, eminiparts.com, etc). Not to mention 3rd party vendors (e.g. ecstuning, wmw, etc) who also can get any available OEM part, often at a discount. There is no shortage of choices for internet parts purchases.

I've had good luck with www.minipartsmass.com

Prices at Sewell are 2x for a recent purchase:

51129807144 $35.55 at minipartsmass $71.10 at Sewell
51118222901 $0.54 at minipartsmass $1.09 at Sewell

That's really too bad... It was a great site for finding parts...

I guess there's still realoem.com for finding parts, but they don't sell anything and Sewell was easier to wade through IMO

I liked Sewell for thier website and ease of look up. That could be issue, everyone used them to lookup and no one bought from them. And yup that would be me, i just used thier site.

I always had purchased from them because they were very helpful and their customer service was top notch but then I noticed that their prices were increasing a lot. Sure is sad but it seems that some dealerships are changing their business practices.

I've bought a couple orders from Sewell online, specified Will Call for shipping, and picked up on my way home from work. It was greatness.

No more. :(

We have Genuine MINI parts here, just either copy and paste the 11 digit OEM parts number ( without dashes or spaces ) in our search box in the upper right hand corner or select your MINI in the drop down menu.

www.ecstuning.com

We are also here to help , you can PM me about a question on a part or call in to our Sales Department.

Thanks
