What do you guys think? Is it possible to rewire the turn signals on the side fenders to act like parking lights also?

Anything is possible, but just because it's possible doesn't mean that you should do it.

If you could find a bulb with two filaments then maybe you could do it, but I'm not sure you could find one small enough.

If you did it with a single filament bulb, would it still be possible? Yes but it could easily turn into a hack job. I think you'd want to make sure to put a diode in there to keep current from the park lights out of the turn signal circuit. Technically you could wire it up without doing that, but I think messing with stuff like that is how people who don't know what they're doing end up chasing ghosts through their electrical system.

Another idea,.. I appreciate wanting to customize a little. Have you seen those little projectors that will project a MINI Cooper logo out of the bottom of your mirrors into the ground? I think that would be easier to wire without hacking te factory wiring too much. You could just put in a new circuit for it. -that's my 2 cents anyway.
