what aftermarket gauge most closely resembles stock?

i'm looking for boost and IAT gauges that most closely resemble the stock gauges. the silver face is not really important (white would be fine), but i would like to have orange backlit numbers at night, and an orange needle. i've looked at plenty of gauges (autometer, VDO, etc), but i can't find any. the autometer gauges that come with the kits (ultralite?) are the closest i've found to stock, but i don't think the numbers light up.... anyone know?

Autometer Ultra Lite series which is the same as BMP uses for their aux boost and oil temp gage. I also used them down below for aux volt meter and real water temp gage.

I like the ones that replace the air vents that luminate the same amber color as stock. I will try to find you the link...

these are my second choice. they do have the same color lighting, but not the backlit numbers.

This is the link i was talking about. http://www.coolnewamerica.com/produc...ils.asp?id=234

Because they only sell them as a set I was going to purchase 2 boost gauges for my brother and I. I dont care about losing 1 vent hole...

The cool new gauges are ummm kool, but i wish they would have made them half an inch smaller so you can still get air out of the vents from the outer ring of the vent, that would have been very very trick!

Do you have to run and tap your own sensors or does it connect to the cars computer?

thanks for the info. i really like the defi gauges, especially the link series, but they are quite expensive. i still have yet to see any that light up through the numbers at night like our stock gauges. i have seen some that light the numbers up a different color, but they have black faces instead of white (VDO vision series?). if i could find some with white or silver faces, i could disassemble them and change the LEDs. and although those digital gauges look like they belong there under the A/C panel, i prefer a sweeping needle rather than a digital numerical readout.

silver-mini-s or anyone else.

I really like those gauges from Coolnew.com
Has anyone istalled these?
Do the rotate?
Does aircondtioner airflow cause a whistle or other problems?
Can you get chrome rings for these gauges to match the rest.
Thanks

In the picture above, why isn't the line at number 7 and 8 on the Tach lit up like the other numbers? Is this how all the mini Tach's are ?

this is what happens when you turn the lights on with the key off. when you turn the ignition on the redline lights up (all the lines from 6750 to 8000).
