So.. my front seat tends to eat drink cans...

I buy small amounts of groceries often, and tend to toss the couple of bags on the floor of the passenger seat. The first time it happened I thought it was a fluke, but today another can started spraying all over the bag and a little bit on the passenger floor mat. I haven't even owned this car for a month and I have had 2 cans punctured due to the seat rails, first one happened to be alcohol and really made my car smell like I had a drinking problem that night ... I'm curious as to whether any one else has had this issue and come up with a solution to cover up the sharp edges without affecting the seats functionality, or if I just need to start using the hatch for small grocery trips as well.

I put one of these in my trunk: http://www.rubbermaid.com/Category/P...od_ID=RP092086

Paid all of $3 for it at a garage sale.

Less trouble that way.

I guess something like that would work for the time being... How much of the space in the back does it take up? and does it fit nice and snug or move around?

Eventually I want to setup a floor sub like this so might have to setup a special cargo net mounted spot off to one side when that time comes.

Probably should get around to cleaning all the spare factory parts I got with the car out of the back and get it all cleaned up. Just need to break a bad habit of using the passenger floor I guess.
