Does anyone know if album artwork shows up when using an iPod classic? I have a '15 CMS with Connected and hooked up with the y cable but the artwork does not display. Should it? Or is my really old iPod just not compatible? If it's not then I'm thinking of getting a new iPod or old iPhone...I like having the pictures! Thanks!

 

Offering a reference point, I'm using a Nano 6th generation which shows the album art.

Ok I have to revive this thread..I bought a 4th gen iPod touch to replace my old Classic so I can see the album artwork (the little things make me happy). Hooked it up using the y cable aaaaaaand no artwork. BUT THEN I plugged in my iPhone 6 and artwork was displayed. Unplugged iphone, hooked up the ipod and magically I got artwork! Next day, start the car with the iPod still plugged in--no pretty pictures. Repeated the process of plugging in iphone and then the iPod and the artwork shows up again.

Why won't it show every time I start the car?? Why do I have to go thru a whole process to get it to do it? I don't have enough memory on my phone to play my music so I need my iPod. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas?
