R60 2011 Countryman
Yes lots to be aware of but your post is to general...
- What kind is it? cooper. cooper s, cooper s all 4?
- manual, auto? options?
- Miles?
- ????
you are upset because nobody answered, but you gave ZERO details...which shows your inexperience with the MINI brand and cars in general...

Someone always comes along and expects a complete summary of all the posts that we've read, instead of reading them on their own. Throw in the extra sarcasm and it makes me want to help the guy.
One of the biggest gotchas is the clutch (assuming manual transmission). It would be nice to review the warranty history of the vehicle to see if it was replaced with the upgraded version, or if it still has the 2011.
I would suggest you reserve your own smart comments and focus on something productive.
Perhaps you are too busy trolling and interjecting snide commentary.
To those who responded with help I thank you.

If you would like to compare car experience I would be happy to.
Perhaps you can hone up on your reading skills and contribute in a positive manner.
hi cWade,
I have 2011 S manual and have no problem (knock on wood). She has about 76000 mile to this date and running like a champ. I do however, change the motor oil and filter in-between the service. i also am little worried about the clutch which i have notified my SA. He told me to bring the car in before the 100,000 mile warranty expiration so that we can negotiate the price of replacement. good luck on your purchase.

Good luck with your 'hardtop'.
My SA told me mid-2012. She said that if the clutch pedal is firm, it's probably an older (risky) version. If the clutch pedal is really soft (easy to press to the floor with little resistance) it's the upgraded model.
I'm curious if this is true, so feedback from others on this would be appreciated.
I think my clutch pedal is "medium". It's neither soft, nor too firm, so ???.

The clutch on our MINI is lighter and softer than our former '92 525i that had 30,000 miles on a new clutch assembly, and REALLY softer than a '91 M5 that was brand new back in the 90's when I was a BMW tech...
Thank You
Your positive input it is appreciated once again. Overwhelmed by your depth of knowledge and willingness to share. I shudder to think how shallow society would be without you.
May you continue to share your knowledge and goodwill to others.
