R60 New mini owner, few questions
New mini owner, few questions
Hi everyone, Chris from Atlanta here with my new to me, 2011 Countryman. So far, love the car but a few questions.
1. When I turn on the turn signals, either one, the dash indicator for the e brake indicator also flashes. Is this normal?
2. Where's the best place to buy rail accessories? I got this nifty rail, but only one cup holder?
3. I have two fog lights that light up with my headlights but no fog light switch. Are they just permanently on?
Anywho thanks for the help
Chris

Hi Chris, welcome aboard!
1. No, this isn't normal. That said, I have a Range Rover that does something similar because it was wired for pulling a trailer. Most folks don't pull trailers with their MINIs, but yours might have done this in its previous life. Or that may not have anything at all to do with what's happening; maybe someone else here has more insight.
2. There are a several sponsors here that deserve your business and have a good reputation for service. I have personal experience with Detroit Tuned, Way Motor Works, ECS Tuning, and Outmotoring. I'm pretty sure the last two can help with rail accessories.
3. If you mean the little lights in the front bumper, they may not actually be fog lights, but instead the running/parking lights, which are mounted in the same housing. Try this: Turn the light switch to the first position and see if they're on. They should have a lighted bulb in the upper portion; the lens sort of fills with light when they're on, but they don't produce enough light to really see by.
Good luck!
