no warning lights but car works in limp mode
Hello everyone,
I am an owner of 2009 Jcw cooper and i was having a fine ride when i check tha my car no boost at at all like in a limp mode but mo emergency lights or CEL or nothing appears in the tach or speedometer.also i stopped and i neutral when i pull the throttle seems tha the turbo is not response at all.only in the range 5.000 to 6.000 seems to work.
Another one is when i start from 1st gear to second with high rpm the car cut off the power and open again.

Hi!
First check all vacuum lines/pipes,then common issue in this case is "pressure conventor"( 11657599547 ) or "tank air valve"(13537543285).Both location under intake minifold, take airbox off your get more space and visibility.both of which can be broken mechanically even if they are electrically ok,that's why no fault codes.

I had this issue on my 2007 MCS. At right about 3000 or 4000 RPM, I'm assuming when turbo kicks in, my CEL would go on and limp. Unlike you, I had CEL and the car told me I was at half power or something along those lines. It turned out the my BOV busted on the turbo. I replaced it and all is well. A small plastic piece within the BOV broke. Very easy to replace and not to expensive. I replaced it with an OEM part but I here that Alta sells a very good replacement. Better than OEM I hear. I'm almost tempted to replace the BOV with an Alta part. Hope that helps.
