R52 Looking for seat covers
Looking for seat covers
My wife has a 2005 non S convertible; I am looking to get her seat covers that are black with gray inserts.
Doing a search I only came up with a thread from 2006.
Has anyone had good success with any brand?
Amen

I went with wet okole... There are some pics you can scroll through on that link. I got black with gray inserts exactly like the picture on their site. The gray matches my "brushed aluminum" plastic painted interior very well. The fit is great. Ive had them for 6 months and they are still breaking in. Ill see how they do long term. Ive always heard wet okole is the best choice for neoprene. I would have preferred cloth but then they would have to be custom made by a local shop and that was too expensive. The wet okoles were bad enough! The neoprene doesnt breath well for sweaty back syndrome but then again the factory vinyl seats dont either. The neoprene does do a great job of keeping me in place when Im "going quickly" through round abouts near me. That is a bonus.
Install for the front seats is a snap. The instructions they provide are great and the forum has more detailed write ups available. The rear seats were a little more painful but I just used the removal process as an excuse to line the rear seat area with sound deadening foam. HUGE interior noise improvement. did I mention HUGE? Rear seat removal still wasnt what I would consider "hard" It was more annoying because things didnt simply snap in and out.... Some Jimmying was definitely necessary.

CoverKing has black/grey that we purchased for the GP's. They're easy to install, fit perfectly, reasonable cost and the fabric "breathes". Colors and pattern almost look like the factory upholstery.
We have sheepskin covers and really like them, in all seasons believe it or not. If you're interested:
