Dealer refused to program rear fogs

Went to my dealer and they said they are not allowed to program rear fogs unless they came with the car.

He said that they are too bright and that people were confusing them for break lights.

What a load of crap.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

Considering that 90% of folks that get them misuse them on clear nights...
They might have a point...many folks don't care...and run them cause they have them...really annoying...
For several years when mini first came to the us, mini said the same thing...
Then said use them right or they will get banned...

I have had the rear fog lights on two of my Coopers.. And only had one morning that I used it... Most drivers in the states don't understand front fogs let alone rear fogs

I put the lenses in the holes in the back bumper of my 7 but never even considered the wiring. I don't recall a need to EVER use my front fogs ... But I liked the look

took about 5 minutes ....

oops - a resurrection .... on Easter, how appropriate.

OP, I think this is something WAY can program if you (and he) go to MOTD . . .

Think it looks better also with the lenses. Rear fog lights are to be used in foggy , heavy rain weather so people can see you. Some people have never seen them before so they think they are brake lights.
