R56 Replacement radio knob
Just bought a 2011 mini. Needs a replacement ****, any idea what I need to buy to fix this? Found a diagram but it's not very helpful.

The little touch pedal button with arrow pointing to right ? Not available separately.....you have this radio below. You have to take the car back to the seller ( Dealer ? ) and they need to replace the entire radio. They are over $700.00 and should be a $500.00 core fee....

Yeah the right arrow ****. Interesting the dealer was quoted $350 but I was going to see if I could find something cheaper at a junkyard.
I found a replacement radio here. Where did you see one for $700 with a $500 core? Thanks.

According to the carfax it was last serviced at the local mini dealer mid September. I called them and unfortunately no warranty left, the 4 year 50,000 mile warranty ended last month. I'm going to see if I can find a radio from a junked mini.
We have them for $450.54, there is always a core with theses units if they come from Mini. You said you still have the remainder of the warranty so it should be covered. Definitely worth checking out.
If anyone else has this issue I bought a radio from a junkyard for $80 incl. shipping. The part with all of the ***** unscrews and screwed right onto the radio in my car, granted you have to basically take the dash all apart to get to it. Now I can sell the radio on ebay for probably more than I paid for it.
