Universal Box for MINI Countryman

I decided to get one for my Countryman. Not sure if this is a good idea but I needed some storage space.

Does anyone have this box in their car? Any comments on its usefulness? Does it get in the way of your elbows?

Thank you

They had one installed in a Paceman loaner I had last week. After a few minutes of driving I tilted it back away. I found it to be annoying, could be that I just got used to not having it. The space it provides would only allow me to add things I don't need in the car.

i have the factory installed center arm rest ... the lid opens to expose a storsge area

AND the eyeglass case rail accessory fits under the armrest so i have 2 storage areas

to access the eyeglass case the armrest folds up and back

I looked at this one, but it was too pricey

I ended up going with this one and I am happy with it. It installs on the rail system without taking anything apart. I wish it was a little more sturdy in the attachment, but it works well enough. You can customize stitching as well..

I've had the same one as mickeymo for over a year now and it works just fine. Top part slides back & forth and its a comfortable arm rest if needed as well as being far less expensive than the MINI item.

That's the tissue box, Might be too tight with an armrest installed also.

You could use it for storage , it was made to hold tissues from this box.

Th sun glass case also helps a bit with storage. It will also need that bottom adapter which is linked and some other options.

Am I correct that none of these armrest replacements work if you have the mini connected mandated armrest/storage?
