Most of us know the low pitch noise or buzz a bad transformer does on a bad fluorescent fixture.

Now, I can hear this "buzz" coming from the front of the engine bay from the driver side every time the engine is shut off. Its audible when parked in the garage. It stays on for about 10 minutes.

Any clue?

 

It's the aux water pump for the turbo. It circulates coolant thru the turbo upon shutdown to aid cooling of turbo. Normal and correct about 10 minutes plus or minus. 100% normal
