I've got a 2007 S. The problem started with the bulb out indicator coming on when I started the car. The driver's side rear light unit (turn signal/tail light/brake light) was not functioning. When I would turn the left turn signal on, I would get a few signal out rapid blinks, then the whole unit would function as designed. The light unit started going out periodically while I was driving. Every time I turned the car off and restarted it and turned the left signal on the unit would start working. It started going out more often and now the light unit doesn't function and won't reset. Any ideas where to even start looking for the problem?

 

Have you already tried replacing said bulb?

 

Hi Grizld700. I replaced all three bulbs, even though they worked when I would 'reset' the unit by turning the left turn signal on.

 

Hmmmm. Where to start? Well I would check the connectors themselves. Make sure there is no corrosion, or melted components from faulty bulbs. If nothing is obvious from there, could be wiring issue, might have a wire shorting out. Then after that I suppose it could be the multifunction switch too.

Does the front turn signal continue to work as well?
