Age old question

Will replacing the S-lites with lighter wheels gain any pickup off of the line? Specifically, S.F. hills can be tricky and at their steepest, the MCS needs a lot of throttle to get it going.

Unsprung vs. Sprung

Every 1 LB below springs feels like 4 lbs above the springs. Light weights wheels help a ton!

Don't forget the tires; a heavy tire will add more rotational inertia than a heavy wheel.

I have SSR Comps with Yoko AVS ES100s. Acceleration from a standing start is excellant. No problems with the AC on either. I have the 15 percent pulley, Milltek/Magnaflow, ECU remap, etc. But the wheels and tires were my first mod and they were great before the additional power added by the mods.

Lighter wheels and tires are the way to go.

I just ditched my 17" S-Heavies for 15" lightweight Monza's with Falken Azenis tires. HUGE difference. It really gets up and GOES!

Great, thanks for the info.

I need to save some $$ now to buy some wheels and a spare tire.
