I need you guys opinion.

Hi guys,

I tried to search but couldn't find same.

Anyway, I have 04 Mini cooper S with Cosworth head package.
Car runs smooth but I have this problem developed recently.

When I start car and 1st gear and shift 2nd gear push gas to 2k to 3k then it jump once - just like car misfire once like then it become normal.(like brrrrrrrrrrrrom - bum - brrrrrrrooooooom)

No check engine light nor code.

Just have this once in the morning time and once afternoon when I drive back home.

What do you guys think?
Any input will be welcome.

Thanks in advance

And can I just reset ECU? I mean I have Cosworth head and since I am a second owner, no idea if my car has normal ECU or not.

Worry about if I reset and ECU doesn't adopt my Cosworth head.
and it shows M7 soft wear uploaded.

this is what I found for my package
------------
Stage 1 Cosworth Package:
Cosworth Ported Head
Cosworth Performance Cam
M7 Air Gain System Pro with 62mm Throttle Body
M7 400cc Fuel Injectors
M7 Oil Catch Can
M7 Software Upload
2 Exterior "Power by Cosworth" Badges
1 Cosworth Unique Serial Number & Head Badge
---------------------

Are you meaning the burble between gears?

You could have RMW retune it.

Theoretically resetting the ecu wouldn't wipe the "tune".

Not between, just 2nd, sometimes 3rd,..between 2k and 3k, it jump.
Like I push gas and RPM raise and all of sudden, it jump once.

So I can reset ECU and it doesn't effect my soft, right?
Cool. Thank you.

No and No.

REd mini. =) and haven't replaced anything.
So it is a map sensor or bypass valve?

Again, when I push gas 2k to 3k RPM it smooth raise but one point (just once) misfire like jump. Only once in morning time and once in afternoon.

So I can reset my ECU. Good to know.
