Front wiper arms

Sorry if this has been posted before. I am at work and couldn't find anything off of google.

I am looking to remove the front wiper arms for a cleaner look and was wondering what the steps were for removing it. Heard you have to have a bmw puller but figured there'd be another way.

Thanks!

I just removed mine to do some work under the cowls, used one of these from harbor freight on the passenger side one and it worked nicely, but it was a tight fit for the drivers side (the hood gets in the way a 'bit') for that I carefully used a pair of channellock pillars, a trick is to not fully remove the nut on the wiper stud, but loosen it up to the end of the thread and then pop the arms off, this way they don't come flying at you when they break free, you can then remove the nut and pull the wiper arm the rest of the way with your hand.

I always like to mention: if you're doing DIY work on the mini the forums and internet are great resources but the bentley manual is the single best $100 I've spent on the car yet.

You can get it off with this puller. And you could convert to the newer style wipers and arms. I don't know if you would prefer that look and function.
