Smile A few questions about countryman pricing

I am thinking about buying a new 2014 CM. After conducting some online research, I got a few questions.

1: The MSRP is not consistent across different sites. For example, the base price for a S model is $25,700 on Edmunds and Nada, but is $26,100 on MiniUSA. The same thing occurred with color choice, with the Blazing Red option being $250 on all price-comparing sites but $500 on MiniUSA.

2: In most cities, there is only Mini dealership in town, I was just wondering how you guys negotiate prices with this limited bargaining power?

I am not only new to Mini, but new to buying new cars. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you, guys!

I found the best pricing was from AAA. I simply went to the dealer, showed them the recommended price to pay from AAA and they gave me the car for that price. Some dealers won't even sell for less than MSRP. Just walk away from them. I do not know if I got a great price, but I got 3% off of MSRP by using AAA.

timing and availability will have a lot to do with your negotiating power. such as buying a '14 when '15s are about to hit, or opting to pick up a lot model rather than have one built for you. there's a lot of cases where it's common for people to pay sticker value based on location (i think portland was one) there's a thread about this from a couple years ago if i remember right. if i recall correctly i got 10% off sticker and had the dealer add stripes, driving lights, mud flaps, winter floor liners, boot mat and a roof rack.

I was lucky enough to have 4 Mini dealers within a 100 miles of where I am. I got quotes from them and order one that was closest to home.

How much did you manage to cut off the sticker price?

That's impressive. Sounds like I got to create some competition for them.
