Can you get a non-s to overrun?

As most of us know with an S model, the exhaust pops when you put it into sport but not in normal mode. So with an ECU tune of some kind can you get the same result on a non-s where putting it into sport messed around with the mapping? Or would you have to modify you're exhaust as well? I've always been curious about this and I couldn't find anything on my own

The "sound system" is in the exhaust. No the ECU will not be able to produce such a sound

So is there a valve in the S model exhaust that opens and closes with the push if the sport button? I thought it changed around the engine mapping to add more fuel so it burns and pops when you lift off

I think that you don't understand the question. There is no valve in the "S" exhaust. It is programming that enables the "pop and burble". There is fuel overrun. This occurs when the sport button is depressed and the car is decelerating and RPMs are around 2500.

To the OP, not sure if this programming is possible on the Justa.

But this is posted in the R56 forum not the F56. So I assume that we are talking about the R56.

No. The new F56 play a sound using the speakers in the car.
