So it finally happened my passenger air bag light has be going on and off for a few weeks now. It finally stays on, I have done my reasearch and if I am lucky it is just a loose connection under the seat. If I am not so lucky I have to have something in my seat replaced which will cost a little over $1000. The main question I have is, If it is just a loose connection and I fix it, do I need to go to mini and have them reset my computer. They quoted me $150. They said that the airbag will not go off unless I get this done. Is this true, I would imagine if I fixed the loose connector that should fix the porblem. If it is not the connection, does anyone know where I could buy a passenger seat for a reasonable price??

 

I am not a licensed auto repair guy.

But from what I've read the airbag will still deploy but not in smart mode.
