Help! Promini hub stuck halfway on!

Hello,
I purchased a used ProMini pulley and went to install on my wife's car today. Well removal of the stuck pulley was easy. I went to slide the hub on and no go. Its a gen1, so needed to be heated. Blasted the hub with a torch and wouldnt go on. Heated some more and gave it a little love tap with a socket and hammer, and now its stuck! Anyone have any ideas on what to do? If I heat the hub on the shaft, the shaft will swell as well. Am I screwed?

Thanks,
Bryan Tracy

I installed their 17% pulley on my car a while back. From what I recall I just gave it a couple taps with large socket and hammer. It slid right in. I believe it's tapered with a couple of cuts to allow it to open up just enough to slid in. I would tap it in and install the pulley and see if it is aligned properly.

This one does not have any cuts in it. It is a solid hub.

Any ideas before I take a cutting wheel to the pulley hub?

If'n it were me I'd call the vendor and see what they have say or a very knowledgable local repair shop if available before I sliced off a new pulley.

Yeah I would call them and ask. Mine had 3 cuts iirc that ran parallel to the snout of the supercharger that would allow it to open up and compress due to the tapered design. I wish I had pics :(

Yup.... grabbed my die grinder and cut it off. Bought a WMW 17% pulley and all is good now. Wasted some time and about $100, but all is well that ends well. Plus, my wife was happy that she got to drive my car to work for 3 days.
