I just called them, they just said to check their web site later today. I tried to get them to at least tip their hand, but they wouldn't.

Is it going to be a performance mod?

"Mini Mania is unveiling one of the most important developments in our history on July 1, and we're sure you will like what you hear. We believe this announcement will change the landscape of the MINI enthusiast marketplace and further Mini Mania's leadership as the premier Mini/MINI headquarters in North America"

This sounds like PR spin. Could be a redesigned web site. Or a merging with another company that might, one day, bring new products to market. Hopefully it will be more than that

Wow, what a concept. Stand behind the products you sell. Not really the groundbreaking news I was hoping for

But it also says it would cover any OEM part failure. So does that mean if we put a Mini Mania pulley on, and the supercharger breaks, they pay for it? If thats the deal, I think the announcement is fantastic.

Thes IS a big deal!

They say
The warranty covers not only Mini Mania parts, but also any other OEM stock parts affected by a Mini Mania part failure.
This is indeed a big deal.

One other vendor says "If you hook up our Bozotron to your car, and the ECU blows up, you are out of luck"

I wrote to a vendor asking if they covered damage to the ECU after installing their product and they said no way.

So, I'm all for this vendor making such a direct statement about their warranty.

Great show Minimania!!!

Any other vendors care to chime in saying THEY will waranty OEM components that get damaged by their parts?

neither does your dealer cover warranty even if it's a stock car.

I have to admit that I am happy to at least see a vendor that will stand behind their products and the effects they may have on our cars. I was just hoping for some type of ground breaking performance parts

Well, I guess it is safe to buy the nitrous now. No worries....right?

edit: wait a minute, it doesn't have MM branding on it. maybe that is excluded too.

Thank you Mini Mania.
It does give some of us peace of mind at least for the non-racing folk.

Thank goodness "Driving Schools" are not a "competitive event".

For those of us trying to decide whether or not $8,000 for a JCW conversion merely for the sake of preserving the warranty is worth the money, we now have a much better option.

As far as Mini Mania is concerned, I have been dealing with this company for over 21 years and have NEVER, EVER, EVER had problems with them. They absolutely stand behind their products and their customer service is excellent.

I agree. They are very good with customer service. I just wish they would not represent their pulley as "interchangeable". They have no other sizes to offer but the 15%. That kinda ticked me off, after I inquired about a different size and was told they had no intent of making them...so, off came their pulley, and on with the Alta. Now I have an expensive hunk of rusty metal (their pulley) sitting on my desk as a reminder. Oh well, life goes on. Faster.

They sell the M7 Venom kit. Presumably this is not part of their warranty, as it is not a MiniMania brand.
